There is room for debate as to whether Israel should have appeared at the International Court of Justice in The Hague.
It is certain that Netanyahu made a grave mistake (and in a typical manner) in his decision to send there a judge like Aharon Barak, who advocates reducing the sovereignty of the people.
Barak, as usual, supported Israel's commitment to expand aid to the population in Gaza - unconditionally.
But if the government had not defended itself in The Hague, and had boycotted the hearing on the just grounds that the tribunal must erase outright the despicable accusation that was hurled at Israel - its decision would have had negative internal political consequences in wartime, and our unity would have been harmed.
In such a case, it is almost certain that the court's decision was directly and vehemently anti-Israel, and that instead of rebelling against it, the center-left, including its chief representative in the government Benny Gantz, could have broken through our front and blamed the majority in the government for the decision.
Unity was damaged during wartime.
In this case, too, it was revealed how the center-left is currently weakening Israel: considering it weakened us before the court in The Hague, but not considering it could have weakened us even more.
However, we must now refuse the tribunal's demand that we report our actions to it.
The affair is an important juncture in the ongoing attempt by the "international community" - a fictitious concept invented by theorists - to enforce international law on nation states through non-democratic institutions, such as the United Nations or the Hague Tribunal. It is difficult to enforce it on strong states, let alone on superpowers. The latest failure occurred in Russia's latest attack on Ukraine. It cannot be expected that the Hague Tribunal will be able to protect Taiwan from China in the future. Therefore, it will also not be able to protect us, if necessary, from the aggressive ally of these powers - Iran.
On the other hand, Israel is a convenient target for the members of the "international community".
On the one hand, she suffers from structural isolation that weakens her, because the area she lives in is hostile to her and because she suffers from anti-Semitism from Muslim, Christian and cosmopolitan sources, including the self-righteous anti-Semitism of "progressive" Jews.
On the other hand, it is a prominent democratic nation-state, which is rooted both in the biblical sources of nationalism and in the modern movement for national liberation.
That is why it is an important test case for those who seek to uproot the democratic popular sovereignty of the nation states, or at least greatly weaken it.
It is easier to attack us in times of trouble, when we are fighting for our souls, and there is a special added value in subduing Israel, because of its important symbolic position in the Muslim, Jewish and Christian world.
But in the gloomy picture - there are also lights.
The "globalization" in the economy and in foreign relations was also based on a global reconciliation with oppressive and evil regimes.
In its place, a bloc conflict is developing between the democratic powers and Russia and China.
It is expected that the attempts of these two to recruit barbaric regimes like Iran's will expand.
In such a situation, the absurdity of putting Israel on trial by judges like Kirill Geborgian from Russia or Nawaf Salam from Lebanon will be exposed.
Israel can and must show the entire democratic world the way - to rebel against the fakeness of the UN institutions, such as UNRWA and the Hague Tribunal
Sweden's fear of Russia, for example, will overcome its tendency to side with the "victims of colonialism", so to speak.
As the struggle deepens between the democratic world (not necessarily the "Western", as it also includes countries like India, Japan and South Korea) and countries like Russia and China and their metastases, the democratic world will not be able to afford to be subject to the spite of its oppressive rivals.

He pretends to monitor us when we defend ourselves, and in fact prevents us from uprooting the Nazi evil that grew on our borders under the auspices of the "international community".
We will subject ourselves to international law, but we will not allow corrupt and biased supervision by the International Court of Justice.
There is a good chance that we can gather international support for such a rebellion.
