As you may recall, last week the royal family announced that Middleton would be forced to cancel her public duties after undergoing abdominal surgery.
Kensington Palace announced that 42-year-old Middleton underwent "planned surgery" in London.
Kensington Palace reported that the operation was successful, but that Middleton is expected to need rest.
"It is expected that she will stay in the hospital between ten and 14 days, before returning to her home to continue her recovery," the statement said.
They also said that "based on the latest medical advice, it is unlikely that she will return to public duties until after Easter."
