An unknown person cut the face of a 36-year-old at the Höllriegelskreuth S-Bahn station on Monday morning.

The police are looking for witnesses.

Höllriegelskreuth - A sneaky attack occurred on Monday morning at the Höllriegelskreuth S-Bahn stop.

According to federal police, an unknown man attacked a 36-year-old from behind with a sharp object.

He was taken to hospital with cuts.

At around 8:50 a.m., the 36-year-old Romanian was waiting on the platform when an unknown man suddenly and apparently without prior connection attacked him from behind and seriously injured his face with a sharp object, possibly a knife, the police write.

The attacker then fled on foot towards Pullach.

The 36-year-old, who was bleeding heavily, called an ambulance himself and was taken to a Munich clinic.

Federal police are looking for witnesses to the crime at the Höllriegelskreuth S-Bahn station

The police describe the unknown person as follows: European appearance, male, around 40 years old, around 180 cm tall and dressed completely in dark clothing.

The officers are asking for information from witnesses about the perpetrator and the course of the crime.
