She has just passed away after fifty years of good and loyal service.

Stivo (Val-d'Oise intercity transport company), which was born with the new town of Cergy-Pontoise, has no longer existed for a few weeks, replaced by a new carrier, the Lacroix & Savac group.

Should users be concerned?

For the moment in any case the answer is rather no.

“The current subject is precisely that this changes nothing,” hopes Éric Nicollet, vice-president of the agglomeration in charge of mobility.

The entire fleet, staff and premises of Stivo have been taken over by the new service provider.

“The social conditions of employees are preserved, we have been extremely vigilant,” adds the elected official.

And for the moment the service is maintained exactly the same.

Shutdown removals, frequency increase

If bus management in the urban area has changed hands, it is because a new operator won the call for tenders launched by the Ile-de-France region.

To the management of the 23 lines of Cergy-Pontoise, the regional council decided to add buses serving the municipalities of Achères and Conflans-Sainte-Honorine in Yvelines.

A single operator is now responsible for the entire area called “Cergy-Pontoise Confluence”.

Some changes are expected, but they will not be implemented before September.

“These are necessary adjustments such as increases in frequency, elimination of certain stops or improvement of certain connections (towards the Hautil plateau, Pontoise, etc.).

We also need to make certain journeys safer by taking them off the highway,” explains Lacroix & Savac.

Another possible development, “the idea of an extension of line 34 from Cergy-le-Haut to Neuville and Conflans-Sainte-Honorine to join line J”.

The SOS users association, Val-d'Oise branch, hopes that the level of service will be maintained.

“The buses are on time and clean, the staff are friendly,” points out Didier Geneste.

The group would like to be able to dialogue with the new operator to submit new ideas to it.

“There is no information on traffic (next bus, delay, etc.) at all stops and users suffer from this, we saw this recently during the episode of snow and ice,” regrets the representative SOS users.

“At one point, an information device on the next RER trains was also tested inside the buses going to the stations.

It stopped and we never saw him again, which is a shame.
