The other major donors are the US, Germany, the European Union, Sweden, Norway, Japan, France, Saudi Arabia, Switzerland and Turkey - some of which are now suspending their support following the revelations.

The executive authority of Hamas
UNRA is the second largest employer in the Gaza Strip, after Hamas itself. According to the UN Charter, the agency is supposed to be an operational body of the local government in every country where it operates, that is, of Hamas.
