Highlights: The agreement on the Omnibus Law is delayed and the session in Deputies is postponed again: it will finally be done on Wednesday. It was going to be done this Tuesday, but the ruling party preferred to have one more day of time to close the votes it needs from the dialogue opposition. "They operate all day and try to make things dirty," protested an official source in response to the complaints from Unión por la Patria. "We are not altering the north of freedom and fiscal balance. We have the tools to do the same without the law," they said from ruling party.

It was going to be done this Tuesday, but the ruling party preferred to have one more day of time to close the votes it needs from the dialogue opposition. The frenetic negotiations continue.

Although the Government of Javier Milei removed the questioned fiscal chapter of the megaproject, there is still no agreement on the so-called

Omnibus Law

and

the session

in Deputies, which was going to be called for this Tuesday and was finally scheduled for next Wednesday, was postponed again. starting at 10 in the morning due to the key differences between the ruling party and the dialogue opposition.

This Monday

the meetings between the president of the Lower House, Martín Menem, and the main leaders of the dialogue opposition continued.

A parliamentary work meeting

is scheduled for this Tuesday with the intention of defining the organization of the session

, which is already expected to be marathon and would extend until Thursday.

Some versions encouraged the possibility of making a fourth intermission so it could last until Friday.

From La Libertad Avanza they explained that the rescheduling of the session had more to do with an "organizational" issue, although it is clear that the negotiation remains open due to strong differences with the dialogue blocks, which do not give in to some points of the proposal. of the government.

Although the emergencies requested by the Executive were lowered from 11 to 7, there are still different speculations about the transfer of extraordinary powers to President Javier Milei, since the discussion is still open.

There are also differences with the blocks of the UCR and We Make the Federal Coalition, the two forces that could be the key to the approval of the law, in what has to do with privatizations.

In the bench led by Rodrigo De Loredo they ask that it be law by law, while in the space chaired by Miguel Angel Pichetto they ask that it go through a bicameral commission and then through the chamber.

Among the radicals there is also rejection of the chapter linked to security, since first they do not understand the reasons that justify the emergency and they ask the Government to apply the current Internal Security Law that gives them the tools.

There is also no agreement on the Cold Zone issue.

The thing is that the libertarian project provides for the elimination of trust funds in the energy sector, including those destined for subsidies.

If the measure advances, the 30% and 50% discounts in force for those regions would be void.

The biofuel issue and the environmental chapter are in the same condition.

Kirchnerist claims

Added to these differences are the

Kirchnerism's questions

that the ruling was modified in its entirety, the ruling party responded that "there is no problem of any kind, the majority ruling was signed accordingly and as established by law."

In this sense, they added that

"there are modifications that will be proposed at the venue

. "

"They operate all day and try to make things dirty," protested an official source in response to the complaints from Unión por la Patria.

Germán Martínez

, head of the K bench, pointed out

that "none of the 55 deputies who signed the opinion of the omnibus law knew the text they were signing. And none of the 257 deputies will begin the (possible) session knowing what It's going to be put to the vote."

To complete, the deputy for Santa Fe pointed out that it is

"the biggest parliamentary embarrassment since the Banelco Law"

, the corruption scandal that was reported during the government of Fernando De la Rúa.

Kirchnerism wants to close the way to the law, but does not give any indication of what strategy it will take to the venue.

Beyond the twists and turns and the decision to eliminate several of the chapters of the project that Milei sent to Congress, LLA assures that the defined proposal is "unbeatable."

"We are not altering the north of freedom and fiscal balance.

We have the tools to do the same without the law

," they said from the ruling party.

Monday meetings

In the middle of the negotiations,

De Loredo

and

Karina Banfi

met again with

Nicolás Massot

and

Oscar Agost Carreño

, both from the We Make Federal Coalition bloc, to once again discuss the issues on which they would vote together.

"The Government has not taken advantage of the fact that it has the predisposition of many blocs with the capacity to generate a majority. On the contrary, it has decided on an open confrontation," Massot complained.

In the PRO there were also contacts, but in the bloc chaired by Cristian Ritondo the panorama is much clearer because the 37 deputies are going to vote on the law in general, but it was not ruled out that there is some difference in a certain article.

Within the round of meetings in Congress, the meeting that the Government advisor Santiago Caputo held with the presidents of the Budget commissions, José Luis Espert, also stood out;

of General Legislation, Gabriel Bornorioni;

and of Constitutional Affairs, Nicolás Mayoraz, to analyze how they will defend what remains of the Omnibus Law on campus.

Part of the attention was also focused on what could happen in the

Federal Investment Council (CFI)

, where the governors of Together for Change and non-K Peronism meet to analyze the Omnibus Law that the Government will seek to approve this week.

It is worth remembering that at first, La Libertad Avanza spoke of giving half a sanction to this broad reform of the State on Saturday of the previous week.

Then,

there was speculation about meeting on the Wednesday

of the CGT strike,

on Thursday

or

this

past Saturday.

But with negotiations stalled, no date was successful.

Finally, the law will be discussed on Wednesday.

Caputo's gesture helped, but...

In this complex context, last Friday the Minister of Economy,

Luis Caputo , announced that the fiscal chapter of the project was left and the discussion of harsh issues such as

retirements, withholdings and profits

was left for later .

Although that helped to decompress the issue a lot, until now there are still points of disagreement, for example with the scope of the

powers delegated to the Executive Branch

and with the

impact of the adjustment in the provinces.

Caputo himself entered into verbal exchanges with governors and legislators who respond to the leaders, and the bidding reached a climax of tension when Clarín said that Milei threatened to leave the provinces "without a peso" if the law was not advanced.

The truth is that the new project was reduced to 386 articles, 278 less than the original announced last December 20 by Milei.
