The Tel Aviv Magistrate's Court extended the detention of Daniel Margoshin, 34 years old from Ashdod, who is suspected of murdering the Russian tourist, Ilana Azgadian, 35 years old, in Tel Aviv.
As I recall, about a week and a half ago, Azgadian's body was discovered in an apartment on Dizengoff Street in Tel Aviv, with many stab marks on her body, after the apartment was set on fire.
Margoshin, the suspect in the murder, fled the scene while performing various actions to hide evidence and disrupt the investigation.
In the end, he arrived in Jerusalem in the evening, where, according to the police, he tried to stab police officers who asked to check his identity.
The policemen shot him about 20 bullets.

Margoshin was hospitalized in a serious condition and yesterday (Sunday) was questioned for the first time at Ichilov Hospital, after the treating doctor gave permission.
According to the police, the suspect linked himself to some of the evidence, but did not answer specific questions regarding the suspicions against him and even made a gesture of closing his mouth with his hand when asked about the murder.
Azgadian's body was dissected, but a final opinion on the circumstances of her death has not yet been received.
Today (Monday) Margoshin was brought to a hearing on the extension of his detention, during which attorney Tali Hazum, who represents him on behalf of the public defender's office, wondered why witnesses in the case had not yet been questioned and asked to shorten the 15 days of detention requested by the police.
Judge Binyamin Hirschel settled for nine days of detention, but noted in his decision that significant progress in the investigation could be indicated.
