An attack by Iranian militias on a US base claims the lives of three soldiers.
If Trump has his way, Biden is responsible.
Washington DC – The conflict in the Middle East surrounding the war in Israel has reached a new level of escalation: three American soldiers were killed in an attack on the US base “Tower 22” in northeast Jordan on the border with Syria.
The pro-Iranian “Islamic Resistance” in Iraq has already claimed responsibility for attacks with armed drones.
The USA also confirms that Iranian militias were behind the attack.
Trump attacks Biden over deaths of US soldiers: “Would never have happened if I were president”
But according to former US President Donald Trump, who also wants to run as the Republican candidate in the 2024 presidential election, only one person is responsible for the deaths of US soldiers: incumbent Joe Biden.
“This brazen attack on the United States is another terrible and tragic consequence of Joe Biden’s weakness and acquiescence,” the ex-president wrote on his own social media platform
Truth Social.
For him it is clear: “This attack would never have happened if I were still president.” If Trump had his way, the Hamas attack on Israel or the war in Ukraine would not have happened if he were still in the White House would.
Instead of having “peace everywhere in the world”, we are now “on the brink of the Third World War”.
Trump repeatedly accuses Biden of showing weakness and thus strengthening “the enemies of the USA”.
Allegations against Biden: “He gave billions of dollars to Iran”
In his message, Trump praised the US's Iran policy during his own term in office.
“Three years ago, Iran was weak, poor and completely under control,” the ex-president wrote, adding: “Thanks to my maximum pressure policy, the Iranian regime could not even scrape together two dollars to finance terrorist proxies.” But Biden gave Iran “billions of dollars that the regime used for bloodshed and carnage across the Middle East,” Trump said.
In fact, the oil sanctions against Iran were not consistently continued under Biden.
Since the beginning of the Democrat's term in office, Iran has been able to bring in an additional $32 to $35 billion in income, as the US newspaper
Wall Street Journal
reported , citing the US think tank
Foundation for Defense of Democracies
.
In October 2023 alone – the month of the Hamas attack on Israel – Iran exported 1.4 million barrels of oil per day.
Compared to the average of 775,000 barrels that Iran was able to export daily during Trump's term in office, that is an increase of 80 percent.

“Our country cannot survive with Joe Biden as commander in chief,” the ex-president said once again.
