There are nine wind turbines in the Sachsenried Forest.
So far two on Denklinger Flur (private operator for the two older systems at the front of the picture), three in the Leeder community forest and four in the state forest near Fuchstal (back).
Up to six can be added to Denklinger Flur.

Denklingen – The municipality of Denklingen would like to see greater citizen participation in the construction of wind turbines in the state forest and in electricity production.
24.9 percent is not enough for her.
Because the community also wants to get involved in citizen participation.
In the municipality of Denklingen there has been a so-called wind power concentration area for several years, which has been identified in a partial land use plan.
It covers 415 hectares in the south and west of Dienhausen.
Up to six wind turbines can be built there.
In the referendum in November 2022, which the municipality initiated, 70 percent of voters spoke in favor of it.
Ten years ago a majority was against it.
Since 2023, a public selection process has always been required on the land of the Bavarian State Forests (there are currently around 100 wind turbines nationwide).
The company selects a suitable investor from several project developers who apply.
Five factors are important, as Bernd Vetter, section manager for renewable energies at the Bavarian State Forests in Regensburg, showed in a lecture at the Denklingen municipal council in autumn 2023.
Too little
The criteria are citizen participation (evaluated with 16 out of 100 points), forest-friendly construction (28 points), electricity yield (7), the rental amount offered (36), and economic factors (13).
Citizens, municipalities and also companies from the community can participate in the tender as up to a quarter as shareholders.
This is exactly where the community wants the screws to be turned.
“We would like to have greater citizen participation,” says town hall boss Andreas Braunegger when asked by our editorial team.
This will be clearly signaled to the project engineer.
No investor has been announced yet.
When will it happen?
Braunegger assumes that the investor will be identified in the second quarter of the year.
Will the Sing engineering firm from Landsberg also take part in the tender?
It is significantly involved in the planning and ongoing operation of the four wind turbines built in the Kingholz state forest (Fuchstal) in 2016 and also the three systems in the Leeder community forest that will go into operation in 2024.
Rather not
Kristina Willkomm from the Sing engineering firm is rather reserved.
Because unlike the wind power in Fuchstal, where the community and those involved raised the equity, the offer of a maximum lease amount is an essential factor in the procedure for the wind turbines in the area of the Denklingen community.
This is given the most weight among the five criteria with 35 out of 100 points.
