Young people often go to great lengths to achieve their dream of becoming a professional soccer player.
A former coach (47) of TSV Neuried took advantage of this situation and abused numerous boys between 2015 and 2020.
He pretended to use sexual stimulation to promote her blood circulation.
Neuried
- The man has been on trial at the Munich II Regional Court for a good two weeks.
On Monday, a now adult player (21) reported the ordeal.
The football coach had pretended to be a physiotherapist, but stopped training after two years.
“The drift towards sexual orientation was gradual,” the witness recalled.
And he admitted that he had not told the truth during police interrogation.
But he now wanted to clear the air in court.
At first he found the treatment unpleasant but normal.
The 47-year-old also treated the other young people the same way.
And he told everyone that the procedure was common in competitive sports - for both men and women.
Stimulation leads to better blood circulation.
This in turn ensures a less painful massage that follows.
But the interventions described by the former youth player were quite an ordeal.
The 21-year-old couldn't say whether the trainer had gotten excited himself.
He definitely hadn't noticed anything.
The witness received up to 100 treatments.
An anonymous report as well as a treatment with another physiotherapist, which was completely different, ultimately made the sexual abuse public.
“Why didn’t you contact an adult?” the judge asked.
The witness responded with a counter question: “How do you start a topic like this with adults?” But today he is doing well.
He suffered no psychological consequences.
However, after it was discovered, he no longer wanted to have anything to do with the attacks.
That's why he denied the abuse to the police.
The process is ongoing.
