The Vaterstetten adult education center has fallen victim to a cyber attack.
Almost the entire server structure is affected.
There is emergency operation.

– The Vaterstetten Adult Education Center has been electronically attacked from outside.
The adult education institution announced this on Tuesday, January 30th.
Almost the entire server structure was affected, said Vhs boss Helmut Ertel.
All legally necessary steps have been taken.
Nothing is yet known about the authors.
“We immediately took all IT security measures, including with the help of external IT experts,” says Ertel.
The incident, which occurred on Sunday, January 28th, was reported to the Bavarian State Office for Data Protection and the police are investigating.
The ability to work should be restored as quickly as possible
The aim of all measures is now to restore the ability to work as quickly as possible under safe conditions.
According to Ertel, the first measure was to isolate the existing server system and prevent the attack from spreading further.
“An internal crisis team is working with external support to rebuild the systems,” said the VHS boss.
As a result of the attack, parts of the adult education center are unable to function.
“We can be reached by email again as of today.
The office in Poing should be reachable by email again from January 31st.
In any case, the Vhs can be reached by phone or in person during regular business hours.
The adult education center's website can still be accessed at www.vhs- Vaterstetten.de.
Online registrations are still possible.
The current courses are taking place,” it said on Tuesday, January 30th.
At the moment it is not possible to estimate exactly when the systems will be available again.
Interested parties will be continuously informed on the website.
The adult education center will continue the program (courses and events) as best as possible during emergency operations.
Ertel: “We apologize for any restrictions or errors.”
