Sarah Kern was thrown out of the jungle camp in the audience vote.
But the “I’m a Star – Get Me Out of Here!” candidate knows: It wasn’t her fault.
Murwillumbah - A jungle camp candidate vacated her place after just a few days: Cora Schumacher (47) said "I'm a star - get me out of here!" and left.
Due to their voluntary exit, the first regular exit was postponed by one day.
On January 27, 2024, Sarah Kern (56) had to vacate her seat.
The designer was quite surprised.
IPPEN.MEDIA
reveals why.
Because she was hardly visible in the jungle camp: Sarah Kern is disappointed
On Saturday evening, Sonja Zietlow (55) and Jan Köppen (40) had the sad task of announcing who had to leave the camp.
The shaky candidates were Sarah Kern and GNTM star Anya Elsner (21).
In the end it hit the former - she didn't get enough calls from RTL viewers.
The expulsion came as more than a surprise to Sarah, as she bragged at the campfire.
But back in civilization she found an explanation.
Shortly after leaving the jungle camp, Sarah Kern reveals in an interview with
IPPEN.MEDIA
that she didn't expect the exit at all.
But she has now noticed that the viewers had no reason to pick up the phone for her.
“Since I didn't take place and wasn't edited in - I wasn't seen - you can't blame the viewers,” she says disappointedly.
She was “virtually non-present” for the TV audience.
“At first I didn't understand it, I was completely surprised because I knew how I performed in it.
But now that I know that I just took place so little, almost not, I can understand that as a viewer they don't call for me, "she adds, emphasizing that she is relieved after the initial shock, an explanation to have found.
Not chosen for any jungle test: Sarah Kern is not sad
The 56-year-old doesn't find it tragic that she didn't have the opportunity to prove herself in a disgust test - on the contrary: she even sees it as a compliment.
“If you're voted in by the audience, it's an indicator that you're not exactly getting the most sympathy.
Then you know that you want to see someone suffering outside,” she explains.
She is convinced that her community wanted to protect her and is actually really happy about it.
In week two, however, she would have liked to prove what she was made of and, above all, show more of herself.

The audience simply didn't see enough scenes of her.

“I wouldn’t know where to start and where not to,” she says and emphasizes: “I’m proud of every single minute that I performed there.”

But one scene remained in the memory of TV viewers.
