Tuesday evening, the 53 elected officials from Changer Paris, the leading opposition group to the mayor of the capital, met in an extraordinary general assembly to appoint the new presidency of their group.
Senator (LR) Catherine Dumas was finally elected with 42 votes out of 51 voters.
Nine elected officials abstained.
The first vice-president of the group therefore succeeds Rachida Dati, appointed Minister of Culture on January 11.
