In the midst of the worst week of
heat
expected so far this summer,
extreme temperature alerts are in effect in 20 provinces
.
The red level will affect this Tuesday San Juan, Mendoza, San Luis, Neuquén and part of the south of the province of Buenos Aires, while the City will be under the yellow level.
The red level alert indicates that temperatures can have
a "high to extreme effect" on health
and be "very dangerous" affecting "all people, even healthy ones," according to the meteorological agency's description.
The day on Tuesday started in the Federal Capital with slightly cloudy skies and northeast winds rotating north, and
an estimated temperature of 24 degrees minimum and 35 degrees maximum
, reported the National Meteorological Service.
In the province of Buenos Aires, the areas most affected by the red level are the north of Necochea, Tres Arroyos, San Cayetano and Coronel Dorrego;
the center of Lobería;
and Adolfo González Chaves.
How the weather will continue
For this Wednesday, the temperature will continue to increase and a day of temperature of 24 degrees minimum and 37 maximum and with partially cloudy skies is expected.
On Thursday, the SMN anticipates partly cloudy to mostly cloudy skies and a minimum temperature of 25 degrees and a maximum of 38 degrees.
