Donald Trump can hope for a Nobel Peace Prize again.
The proposal from a Republican is also intended to be a signal against Biden.
Washington, DC – Donald Trump could win the Nobel Peace Prize this year.
At least he has been nominated for the award, and not for the first time.
The background is the Abraham Accords, in which the former President of the USA was involved.
The Republican Claudia Tenney therefore submitted the proposal.
The Abraham Accords were signed in September 2020 between Israel, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates.
It's about normalizing their relationship as part of the strategy against the Middle East conflict.
In the months following the signing, Morocco and Sudan also followed suit.
They adopted similar agreements.

Republican reasons: Trump's Abraham Accords against "Biden's weak leadership"
“For decades, bureaucrats, foreign policy experts and international organizations have insisted that further peace agreements in the Middle East were impossible without a resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
“President Trump has proven that wrong,” Tenney told

She lamented that Trump's alleged achievements have so far gone unhonored.
“Now more than ever, as Joe Biden’s weak leadership on the international stage threatens our country’s security, we must recognize Trump for his strong leadership and his efforts to promote global peace,” the congresswoman urged.
The proposal serves not least as a campaign strategy in the US election against Biden, whose Israel policy is not well received, particularly among the younger generation.
Trump again nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize – Abraham Accords divide
Trump could also hope for a Nobel Prize in 2020.
At that time, Norwegian MP Christian Tybring-Gjedde suggested him because of the Abraham Accords.
Shortly thereafter, the Swedish Perussuomalaiset (Basic Finns) party and a group of Australian lawmakers demanded the price for Trump.

Even back then, however, not all voices were on Trump's side: Israeli journalist Noa Landau wrote in an analysis in 2020: "Peace agreements from the White House are just as empty as Miss Universe declarations, and that is intentional." Whether Trump with the Nobel Peace Prize this year will be honored will be decided in October.
