In “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?”, a candidate won 64,000 euros and wants to keep part of the prize money for after his death - causing both laughter and horror.

Cologne – Someone has made good provisions for old age: Willi Wachtendonk (59) from Xanten in North Rhine-Westphalia surprised people with a special wish on the RTL quiz show “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?”

After he initially won 32,000 euros, presenter Günther Jauch (67) asked him what he planned to do with his winnings.

The used car dealer then explained: “I read obituaries in the newspaper every now and then (…) and they say more and more often: 'The deceased was buried in the smallest circle (…).'

And I think that’s pretty stupid.”

Instead, he wants “a big funeral party” and the 59-year-old “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?” candidate also knows what that should look like: “I think it would be good if there was a beer truck there,” he said on the show.

“Nobody has ever wanted that,” said Günther Jauch, commenting on the plans.

Taken aback, he turned to Wachtendonk's wife in the audience and asked what she thought of her husband's idea.

"Count me in.

“So, I’ll organize it,” she replied, who is obviously already well involved in the plans.

Willi Wachtendonk ultimately won 64,000 euros.

But he probably doesn't need that much money for the funeral party.

He also reveals that he would also like to “fly in a supersonic plane – like in the movie 'Top Gun'”.

Jauch likes his plan and advises his candidate: “Don’t save too much for your funeral!

“It can take a while, hopefully.”

It remains to be seen whether the Xanten native will treat himself to some fun with his prize money before the well-planned funeral.

One thing is certain, however: Willi Wachtendonk is well prepared for all eventualities.

The presenter himself also regularly makes revelations on his show: Günther Jauch revealed that he was once arrested in Egypt.
