21% fewer accidents in the first 2 weeks of Bologna Città 30. According to the Municipality, compared to the same period in 2023, there were 25 fewer accidents, 14 fewer accidents with injuries and one less fatality and they dropped by 27.3% of pedestrians were involved.
Between Monday 15th and Sunday 28th January (the sanctions began on Tuesday 16th), 94 accidents occurred on the streets of Bologna, of which 63 with injuries and 31 without injuries, none fatal.
From Monday 16 to Sunday 29 January 2023, there were 119 accidents, of which 77 with injuries, 41 without and one fatal.
Therefore there are -18.2% accidents with injuries, -24.4% those without.

- even if we are aware that we will have the most statistically consolidated data after a longer period, of around six months".
For this trend to consolidate, "Bologna must continue to go slower as it has demonstrated it can do in these first two weeks, with the awareness that, given the data, even in our city more prudent behavior and lower speeds can really make the difference in safeguarding the safety of everyone on the road", he adds.
