The relaunch of nuclear power, with the extension beyond forty years of existing reactors, the construction of at least six EPR 2 and the arrival of small modular reactors (SMR and AMR), raises new industrial challenges.
And among them, the fight against falsification and fraud.

We are in a context where the number of projects will increase and this will put the entire sector under tension
,” notes Bernard Doroszczuk, president of the Nuclear Safety Authority (ASN).
Last year, the nuclear police noted 43 frauds of various kinds, from simple irregularity to counterfeiting.
Three of them even gave rise to a report to the public prosecutor.
As the procedures are ongoing, the Authority remains very discreet on these specific cases.
