Highlights: CPF: the French are rushing to training for their motorcycle license. The two-wheel license has become in two weeks the second most requested training. With 7,000 files validated since the start of the year, this represents almost 80% of motorcycle licenses if we refer to the total registrations for January 2022. Permit B carried out with a CPF represents less than 20% of all permits, according to an estimate from Les Échos. If its access was regulated in 2022, 1.85 million training courses had been validated this year.

The two-wheel license has become in two weeks the second most requested training, with 7,000 applications already submitted by the French.

Among the good resolutions of the French, the two-wheel license seems to be in the spotlight.

While he has been eligible for the personal training account (CPF) since January 12, requests have exploded.

The A license is thus the second most requested certification, with 7,000 files, which represent 7 million euros.

The motorcycle even stole first place from the car during the third week of the month, according to information from Les Échos.

The eligibility of two wheels for the CPF was established by the law of June 21, 2023, supported by Renaissance deputies Sacha Houlié and Aurore Bergé.

For the two elected officials, the possibility of obtaining a two-wheel license encourages professional integration:

“This is the case for light motorcycles (A1 license), even though this license can be presented from the age of 16 and offering a mobility solution to young people who do not have one and are therefore isolated.”

Thanks to the introduction of this law, A permits can now be financed up to 5,000 euros, i.e. the maximum allocation for a CPF.

A sum more than sufficient for an A1 or A2 permit, which generally costs between 500 and 1000 euros.

With 7,000 files validated since the start of the year, this represents almost 80% of motorcycle licenses if we refer to the total registrations for January 2022, according to Road Safety.

Permit B carried out with a CPF represents less than 20% of all permits, according to an estimate from Les Échos.

But with such enthusiasm, the government could tighten the granting conditions.

Today, the future motorcyclist must simply attest on their honor that the issuance of the two-wheel license will secure their integration or retention in employment.

The former Minister of Labor, Olivier Dussopt, notably proposed adding a remainder to each purchase of training with his CPF.

If its access was regulated in 2022, 1.85 million training courses had been validated this year.
