Louis Klamroth wants to modernize the ARD show “Hart aber fair”.

Although the former presenter Frank Plasberg openly rails against it, he is now putting his plan into action.

Berlin – Frank Plasberg (66) moderated almost 70 programs “Hard but Fair” in around 22 years.

After he finally turned his back on the politics show in November 2022, Louis Klamroth (34) became the new face of the format.

Since January 2023, he has been moderating the weekly discussion groups on Erste.

His conclusion after a year: The show needs a new concept.

Frank Plasberg on Louis Klamroth: “I was wrong about him”

The station announces on its website that there will be changes to “Hart aber fair” after the winter break “in the selection of guests and topics and the dramaturgy as well as in the design of the studio and the look of the show”.

The aim of the talk show is to bring the dialogue with citizens “even more into focus,” it is said.

More digital stuff is now in demand and additional offerings complement the ARD media library.

Every Tuesday there will be a version of the show from the previous evening commented on by Klamroth.

“We're going to try out a lot of things, I'm looking forward to that!”, the 34-year-old is quoted by Erste.

Anyone who is a little less happy about the changes is his predecessor Frank Plasberg.
