The police took several intoxicated drivers out of traffic last weekend - one of them even twice.

On the night from Saturday to Sunday, the police caught two e-scooter drivers.

One of them drove through a red light in front of the police at around 3:40 a.m.

The 19-year-old's alcohol test showed 1.8 per mille.

Just recently, the police caught a 24-year-old from Karlsfeld who was riding an e-scooter with a blood alcohol level of just under 1.6 per mille.

A blood sample was taken and the vehicle and driver's license were confiscated.

During an inspection a knife is exchanged

A 56-year-old from Röhrmoos, who was driving his Opel in Haimhausen, was not only drunk at over 1.1 per mille when checked, he also had a knife with a fixed blade over 12 centimeters long, according to the police.

This resulted in a blood sample being taken, and a driver's license and knife were confiscated.

On Sunday afternoon around 5:45 p.m., the Dachau police station received several reports about a white Kia with a Polish registration that was driving in Dachau-Ost “with an abnormal driving style.”

When the vehicle stopped at a red light, another road user managed to take the driver's key to prevent him from continuing.

The driver - apparently in possession of a spare key - continued his journey along Bajuwarenstrasse towards Karlsfeld.

There he parked the vehicle in the Nelkenstrasse area and left on foot.

Search for drunk driver successful

A patrol was able to quickly locate the driver - a 40-year-old who lives in Karlsfeld.

It turned out that he was drunk at over one per mille, which may have been the reason for his driving style.

Criminal proceedings for endangering road traffic are ongoing.

Road users who were endangered by the SUV's driving behavior are asked to call the Dachau police station on 0 81 31/56 10.
