This trip only brought trouble.

She had almost reached home when a woman from Wackersberg was stopped by the police in November 2023.

A blood sample showed that she was driving her car with a blood alcohol level of 1.84.

Wackersberg/Wolfratshausen – The driver’s license was confiscated immediately after the incident.

It will be a long time before the woman can hold it in her hands again.

In the trial for negligent drunken driving at the Wolfratshausen district court, the ban period was extended by a further ten months.

However, anyone who is caught with such an alcohol level must also complete the medical-psychological examination (MPU).

Waitress drank wine while working

Judge Helmut Berger wanted to know how the trip came about.

“Just like that, just stupid,” replied the defendant.

The waitress explained that she drank draft wine at work.

“Always just a sip.

I didn't think it would be so much." That's why she was confident enough to make the 50-kilometer journey from her job to home.

The woman now has to look for a new job.

She lost the old one because a driver's license is mandatory to get there.

The fine of 60 daily rates of 40 euros each (a total of 2,400 euros), which the court sentenced the woman from Wackersberg, hurts all the more.

The court assessed the relatively long journey and the fact that the alcohol level was significantly above the absolute level of unfitness to drive as a punishment.

The legislature has set this at 1.1 per mille.

“You are lucky that nothing happened,” Judge Berger told the woman from Wackersberg.
