Significant traffic disruptions are expected in the Ebersberg district on Wednesday, January 31st.
The farmers' association has announced that farmers would block all highway access roads.
District
- As Matthias Vodermeier, chairman of the farmers' association in the district, said at the request of the Ebersberger Zeitung, the action is planned for Wednesday, January 31st, between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
However, the motorway entrances would not be completely blocked, “but only” temporarily made more difficult.
“We close for 15 minutes and then open again for 15 minutes – in consultation with the police,” said Vordermeier.
Ebersberger also want to block in the Munich district
He hopes for strong participation from professional colleagues from the Ebersberg district.
“It would be good if we had 130 to 150 people involved again.”
Then you could also support the farmers in the neighboring district of Munich, who have a lot of motorway entrances.
Vodermeier sees the campaign as a strong sign of the farmers' effectiveness.
“We’re showing what we can do.” It’s solely up to the traffic light government in Berlin to put an end to the farmers’ actions.
Just last Friday, January 26th, farmers took part in a rally through the district with their tractors.
Numerous craftsmen and truck drivers from local companies also joined the protest.
They also criticized the traffic light government's policy with signs like "No double CO2 burden for tolls and diesel" and "If you don't honor the craft, it's not worth the effort."
Individual freight forwarders vented their frustration by honking loudly as they passed through the district town.
