One of the interesting election systems in Israel will be held in Tel Aviv where it will be decided, probably in the first round, whether Ron Huldai will finish his post after 25 years as mayor or continue for a sixth term.

The battle for mayor of Tel Aviv will take place between two military veterans, Lt. Col. (res.) Ron Huldai and Champion (res.) Orna Barbibai.

From a survey by the 'Sample' Institute led by Manu Geva, commissioned by Yesh Atid's election headquarters, it appears that in a head-to-head battle between the two, Mayor Huldai leads with 38.5% support, a percentage behind him, Barbibai with 37.7% of the votes, a quarter of the city's residents still 24% are undecided.

It seems that the war period raised the group of opponents to Huldai, over half of the city's residents think that a 25-year term is too much.

Over 60% of the residents think that at this time new leadership is needed for the city.

The survey data also shows that 91.5% of the city's residents intend to vote on election day.

The survey predicts that the Yesh Atid faction is going to be the largest in the council with 23.8% of the votes, Tel Aviv 1 led by Ron Huldai and Asaf Zamir 20.5%, New Hope led by Yuval Zellner 4.3% New Contract - the protest faction with 5.3%.

In a Maariv poll conducted in September, Mayor Huldai led with 29% and Barbibai with 22%, so there were several more candidates in the race and the rate of undecideds was 39%.
