On social networks, the director of Camping et Disco also posted several photos with the president of Stade de Reims, Jean-Pierre Caillot, during scouting last fall.
Now, it is confirmed, his next film, called 4 Zeros, will take place, in part, in the Cité des Sacres, with the Raymond Kopa life center and the legendary Auguste-Delaune stadium as its setting.
In the cast: footballer Karim Benzema, Didier Bourdon, Isabelle Nanty and Gérard Lanvin in a film which is billed as the sequel to “3 Zeros”.
This feature film was a great success in 2002 with more than a million spectators in theaters.
A comedy which already took place in the small world of football players' agents.
Twenty later, Fabien Onteniente wrote the rest of the story.
In this version, Isabelle Nanty married Didier Bourdon and together they run a restaurant in the Paris suburbs in which their son does not want to get involved.
The latter prefers to become an agent to unearth the future nugget of French football.
“We will only play our role”
A nugget which will evolve at the Stade de Reims as Jean-Pierre Caillot, the president of the club, explains: “Fabien, I have known him for a long time.
He had planned to shoot a film in Reims on women's football which ultimately did not come to fruition.
And recently he came back to me and asked if I would be up for being in his new film.
I had a good laugh watching
3 Zeros
, I really like what he does so our doors are wide open to him.
As for us, we will only play our role.”
On the other hand, it is an actor who will play Jean-Pierre Caillot on screen.
Who will play the role of president of Stade de Reims?
Mystery, we will know more in the coming weeks.
For now, the production has just launched its campaign to recruit 50 supporters of the Reims team to attend a “Ligue 1 match” with jerseys, scarves, hats and flags in hand.
All to recreate a match night atmosphere.
But the production is also looking for spectators, of all ages, to be present in the stands for a filming scheduled for Tuesday April 23 (applications should be sent to Cécile Chandernagor, Curiosa production company, on figureims@gmail.com).
