The 18-year-old young man who, attempting to 'surf' on the bonnet of a moving car, had fallen disastrously onto the asphalt, causing serious head injuries, died after nine days in hospital in the Treviso intensive care unit.
The boy, Lorenzo Pietrushi, of Albanian origins and living with his family in Ormelle (Treviso), had been urgently transported to the Treviso hospital and his condition immediately appeared critical.
The people who called for help were the young man's friends, who had spent the evening together to celebrate the birthday of the victim's cousin.
It was the cousin himself, with the license obtained a few months ago, driving the car on whose bonnet Lorenzo wanted to perform.
The 18-year-old, who was in his final year of a technical institute in Oderzo, almost certainly lost his balance.
The police are investigating the matter.
