Roadside vigils are not enough.

“We have to step on the gas,” says BBV district chairman Anton Stürzer.

On January 31, farmers block highway entrances.

Disabilities are inevitable.

Munich District

- On Wednesday, January 31st, from around 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., there will be temporary obstructions caused by agricultural vehicles on many motorway entrances and access roads in the Munich district.

The Bavarian Farmers' Association (BBV) has called for a large-scale protest.

Commuters must expect traffic delays and allow a little extra time.

“Yes, I’m also there with my tractor,” says Anton Stürzer, BBV district chairman from Höhenkirchen, combatively.

He will stand at Ikea Taufkirchen on the motorway entrance to emphasize the farmers' protest against subsidy cuts.

Just vigils on the side of the road - that doesn't help.

“We have to step on the gas a little bit,” says Stürzer.

And slow down traffic.

Protests in France are too radical

Anton Stürzer also looks to France, to the protests of his professional colleagues.

They called for a blockade of Paris.

That's a bit too radical for the BBV district chairman.

Temporary blockades, clear paths for emergency vehicles, that's the BBV's line.

And of course everything is nicely registered at the district office.

“But there will definitely be traffic congestion,” says Stürzer.

That's also the point of the blockade.

Protest actions have been announced at the following motorway entrances in the Munich district:

A8 motorway

Junction 92b – Neubiberg;

Junction 93 – Unterhaching East;

Junction 94 – Taufkirchen East;

Junction 96 – Hofoldinger Forest.
