Iffeldorf - Finally fun on the slopes again: The Iffeldorf Ski Club invited everyone to the dwarf race on the Heuwinklberg before the big thaw.
It was a brisk day of racing.
In 2016 there was the last race for the young ski enthusiasts on Iffeldorf's “local mountain” below the Heuwinkl chapel.
The 2019 edition fell victim to the weather and then it was over.
Now it was finally that time again.
Proud on the podium: There were certificates, trophies and medals for the fastest Iffeldorf ski children.

Some racing kids even ran without sticks
Everything was organized within a few days.
All children born in 2014 and younger were allowed to start on the 100 meter long course, which was marked out with eight gates.
Due to the very good weather conditions, two rounds were scheduled.
“So every child had the opportunity to ski down the slopes twice and enjoy the atmosphere,” reports Markus from the ski club.
A total of 30 children were excited for the start.
Parents, grandparents and friends loudly cheered on the racers.
The children mastered the slopes with flying colors, some even without ski poles, according to the ski club chairman.
