During his greetings a few days ago, the president of the University of Paris-Est Créteil (Upec) did not avoid the financial difficulties of the establishment.
In September, Jean-Luc Dubois-Randé opened the door to the minister's office to alert and discuss the continued increase in the number of students (42,000 today) without additional funding.
A situation which has plunged Upec into the red with a deficit of 7 million euros to resolve.

Senator Pascal Savoldelli (PCF) recently challenged the government on this “urgent situation” and “the measures” taken to “compensate in a sustainable manner for the reductions in allocations resulting from the current deficit situation”.
A few days before presenting to the authorities a plan to return to financial balance, Jean-Luc Dubois-Randé returns to Le Parisien on the difficulties but also the projects which continue.
