The fire has been extinguished since Sunday evening, but at the Adef home in Montreuil (Seine-Saint-Denis) anger is still smoldering under the firebrands.
On Monday, a group of residents protested under the windows of the town hall, demanding rehousing solutions.
There were “seventy-five” of them according to a witness, “25” according to the town hall.
Accompanied by activists and local residents, they then took refuge at the Méliès cinema where they spent the night.
This Tuesday, they waited again in front of the town hall waiting for an interview with the mayor, Patrice Bessac.

The previous evening, a fire broke out in a residence on the 3rd floor and made four floors of this residence which accommodates migrant workers uninhabitable.
Not only “the 3rd and 4th were affected but also two upper floors”, specifies the Montreuil town hall.
In the confusion, a resident on the 3rd floor even jumped out of the window.
