The German economy shrank in the fourth quarter of 2023.
This means that the economic downturn continues.
Munich - The German gross domestic product shrank at the end of 2023: According to the Federal Statistical Office, economic output between October and December fell by 0.3 percent compared to the previous quarter, adjusted for prices, seasons and calendar.
The authority confirmed initial estimates from mid-January and also stated that GDP for the entire year 2023 also fell by 0.3 percent.
