A 33-year-old British man who attempted to base jump from a 29-story building died because his parachute did not open.
His gruesome death was recorded in a video that the person accompanying him was recording.
The tragedy occurred over the weekend in the tourist city of Pattaya, in Thailand.

, a fan of this type of activity, wanted his extreme jump to be recorded and then upload the video to his social networks.
According to the Daily Mail, the man fell on a tree and subsequently hit the ground.
His half-open blue parachute rested next to his body, confirmed the first attendees at the scene.
“I heard the sound of the tree and thought it was a fallen branch hitting the ground.
A woman screamed, so I walked closer and realized she was a person.

I saw that she had jumped off the building,” said a building security guard, while highlighting that it was not the first time that Odinson attempted a jump of this style.
Although the results of the autopsy are not yet available, it is believed that the British man, whose body was already recognized by his father, died instantly due to a severe bruise.
Odinson used his networks to show his prowess in skydiving and base jumping (an extreme sport that consists of jumping at great heights from fixed objects using a parachute).
He also promoted his airborne photography company and the private skydiving experiences he offered.

A sad precedent
Unfortunately, tragedies of this style are more common than one thinks.
In 2019, a 29-year-old Spanish YouTuber named
Rubén Carbonel
died after suffering a similar accident.
Carbonel had a YouTube channel dedicated to extreme sports and apparently wanted to film a night jump in Spain.
This was reported by the newspaper El País.
The deceased and a friend climbed the tower of a private cement factory, about 50 meters above the ground.
There the YouTuber jumped into the void, but the parachute did not open and he died instantly.
