Some stars couldn't stand it in the jungle camp and said the famous words: "I'm a star - get me out of here!"

Who exactly was that?

1 / 17Dustin Semmelrogge (fourth from left) not only took part in the very first season of “I'm a Star - Get Me Out of Here!”, he was also the first dropout.

In 2004 he left the jungle camp voluntarily, but wanted to return to “I'm a Star - Let Me Back In!” in 2015.

It didn't work.

2 / 17Viewers didn't see Dolly Buster as styled as she is here in the second jungle camp season.

In the end, “I’m a star – get me out of here!” wasn’t for the former porn actress.

After just two days she left the show at her own request.

3 / 17Harry Wijnvoord didn't last until the end of the second jungle camp season.

The presenter said goodbye after eleven days and followed Dolly Buster to freedom.

4 / 17 DJ Tomekk didn't leave season three entirely voluntarily - but at least he didn't have to leave the jungle camp because there weren't enough calls from viewers.

When a controversial video of him emerged, he gave up his spot at the campfire at the station's request.

5 / 17 Lisa Bund made it to third place on DSDS - she didn't last until the end in the jungle camp.

The singer (here at a performance in 2007) went voluntarily.

She cited health problems as the reason for this.

6 / 17 Moderator Björn Hergen-Schimpf also lost interest in season three in 2008 after an injury.

However, it was difficult for him to say the famous words.

That's why he simply asked the fans to stop calling for him and started his journey home.

7 / 17A year later - in 2009 - TV star Giulia Siegel lasted longer.

It wasn't until day 14 that she announced her voluntary withdrawal.

The reason that possibly cost her victory and “only” landed her in fifth place: back pain.

8 / 17Martin Kesici tried his luck in the Australian bush in 2012.

But without success.

He retreated because he simply couldn't face water.

The musician had a traumatic experience as a child that caused him problems in the jungle camp.

9 / 17Sarah Knappik aka Sarah K wrote jungle camp history in 2011 and experienced the “worst test ever” more than once.

Ultimately, the model couldn't take it anymore - among other things because her fellow contestants literally begged her to leave.

She pulled the ripcord and voluntarily left season five.

10 / 17Before leaving for Australia, Helmut Berger was still in good spirits and was joking around with Olivia Jones.

However, when he arrived at the jungle camp, his health thwarted his plans.

The now deceased actor had to call it quits after three days.

11 / 17 Michael Wendler obviously had no fear of contact with creepy crawlies when he took part in the jungle camp in 2014.

Nevertheless, the pop singer had a big problem.

"I feel weak.

“I don’t want to pick up any infections or bacteria,” he said, ending his “I’m a Celebrity – Get Me Out of Here!” adventure after just four days.

What remains: “Good morning in the morning” – a Wendler sentence that still applies down under today.

12 / 17 Bachelor participant Angelina Pannek (formerly Heger) went to the jungle camp in 2015 with a lot of luggage.

But she didn't need much, because after a week she said goodbye again.

“I’m just not feeling well mentally and physically,” she explained.

13 / 17 Gunter Gabriel's health also caused problems - no wonder, after all, the musician, who died in 2017, was already over 70 years old at the time.

His move out of the jungle camp was followed by a stay in the hospital.

14 / 17 Rolf Zacher (1941-2018) had no different fate: The actor had health problems in the jungle camp.

On January 27, 2016, RTL officially announced that it had ended “I'm a Star - Get Me Out of Here!” early.

15 / 172018 GNTM model Giuliana Farfalla wanted to win the jungle crown - but after six days it was over.

“I don’t want to lie on the ground and then say: I can’t do it anymore!” was her motto.

Time to say goodbye.

16 / 17Ansgar Brinkmann was the last jungle camper until the current season (as of January 19, 2024) to shout “I’m a star – get me out of here!”

He was tired of the strict rules anymore.

17 / 17Günther Krause didn't say "I'm a star - get me out of here!" in 2020, but still didn't stay in the camp long enough to be voted out by the viewers.

Instead, he went down in history because he had by far the shortest stay.

After just a few hours, the politician was over for health reasons.

Australia – In the Australian jungle camp, year after year, only one thing really counts: Who will take the crown?

The celebrities torture themselves through tests of disgust, starve and face what is usually the biggest challenge - themselves. The fight has come to an abrupt end for quite a few stars in the past, with the words “I'm a star - get me out of here !”.

You can find out who has volunteered from season one to today here.

Will one of this year's jungle camp candidates be included on this list?
