Communications Minister Shlomo Karai of the Likud this morning (Tuesday) addressed the storm surrounding the settlement conference in Gaza, in which he took part.
"The right also deserves to voice its opinion," he said in an interview with Gadi Ness at Radion North 104.5FM.
"Guys, where are you going? Which Palestinian Authority? We want a Jewish settlement."
According to him, families of fighters who support resettlement in Gaza were also present at the settlement conference: "Their voice should also be heard," he said.
He also said that the conference does not change the goals of the war, and they remain as they were.
He explained the "victory demonstration" of ministers and MKs, who danced with those present at the conference, and was harshly criticized for it: "People don't understand what we were dancing about - it's a dance of prayer, that the kidnapped will return home.
They also dance in the synagogue to pray that it will happen."
"We danced for the return of the kidnapped."

Following the criticism of the event, mainly from ministers Benny Gantz and Gadi Eisenkot from the state camp, Karai accused: "Since they entered the government, they only vote against."
He also said that they do not "take part in the issues discussed", and "everywhere they slander".
"I wasn't too excited when they entered the government, and I'm not excited about what they're doing. This whole ultimatum. We understand, you're not really in the government - you came to observe," he added.

Karai also referred to the tensions on the northern border: "It is still not safe there. We will have to restore security. Common sense says that you cannot return civilians to places where anti-tank missiles can be fired at them."
