The GAL group is calling for planning for residential construction on the building yard area.

Mayor Grundner: First everything has to be clear at the new building yard location.

Dorfen

- An ideas competition for the future development of the building yard site on Isener Strasse was discussed during the budget discussions in the Dorfen main committee.

“More than four years ago, the city council made the decision to outsource and optimize the municipal building yard,” says the application from the Green Alternative List (GAL).

At this point, in an optimal location, more than 100 apartments are to be built - from penthouses to social housing.

“The planning phase for this project must begin immediately,” demanded Ulli Frank-Mayer (GAL).

Estimated cost: 80,000 euros.

“The building yard has to be gone first,” objected Mayor Heinz Grundner (CSU).

Frank-Mayer didn't want to leave it like that.

She accused the town hall boss of the fact that there was still no prospect of a new location for the building yard; she spoke of a “failure”.

“A blind accusation that misses the mark,” countered Grundner.

There is a piece of land, negotiations are underway and the contract is about to be signed.

“I can’t do magic,” he said – Frank-Mayer even held that against the city boss, but then withdrew the application.

The Landlist group called for urban planning advice for the entire area on Schäfflerstrasse.

In May, the city council approved the construction of a new residential complex on Jahnstrasse.

A building with 15 residential units is planned on the corner of Schäfflergasse, near the B15-Isenbrücke.

“We need an overall concept,” demanded Günther Drobilitsch (GEM).

The location is a “piece of cream” that should not be cut into slices.

“You have to see the area as a complete district.”

Here too, Grundner referred to the timeline: “It is still too early to plan requirements,” he said.

In addition, the city has municipal planning sovereignty; only what is decided by the building and traffic committee can be built.

The city now wants to have a detailed investigation funded in 2025, and the committee agreed to this plan.

The SPD's application for a funding program for the purchase of cargo bikes and trailers for low-income households dates back to 2022.

Budget resources of at least 5,000 euros per year would be earmarked for the program.

Anita Herbst from the Environment Agency has compiled reports.

In almost all cities in the area with a corresponding funding program, higher earners apply for the subsidy.

In addition, other municipalities would withdraw the subsidy.

The majority of city councilors rejected the funding.

But not all projects were canceled.

Many cyclists ride from Oberdorfen to Dorfen, including students.

However, the path is difficult to navigate in the dark.

Three solar-supported street lights were in test operation here.

Martin Heilmeier (LDW) requested the construction and traffic committee the week before that the entire route would soon be illuminated.

The majority decided to set aside 44,000 euros.
