An 18-year-old Albanian-Italian died Tuesday nine days after being hospitalized with serious injuries after slipping and falling while 'surfing' on top of a car near Treviso in northeastern Italy.
The man, Lorenzo Pietrushi, resident with his family at Ormelle, suffered severe head injuries in the fall.
His cousin, who had just passed his driving test, was at the wheel of the car in the accident, part of a growing craze among young people in Italy and beyond.
