This may have saved a man from something worse after he walked onto the main line tracks at night.
Munich - Guardian angel at the weekend: On the night from Friday to Saturday (January 27th), the Federal Police were deployed in the Hackerbrücke area after a male, heavily drunk person was in the track area.
His luck: Due to the strike, there was no train service at the time.
At around 2:30 a.m., a taxi driver called emergency services after passers-by alerted him to the presence of a person on the tracks.

After the track was closed, the federal police were able to find a 41-year-old from Munich in the area of a switch on the mainline railway tracks and escort him out of the danger area.
The man was uninjured and heavily intoxicated with a breath alcohol concentration of over 2 per mille.
He stated that he had previously visited a nearby discotheque and could not remember how he got to the track area.
It is solely thanks to the external circumstances that the Munich native was not injured.
Due to the ongoing rail strike, no trains were running at this time and no changes were made to the switch in question.
