Monday January 29, a racist tag was found on one of the walls of the Arrahma mosque, located in the 14th arrondissement of Marseille.

“Fuck dirty Arabs”

was discovered by the president of the religious establishment, Abdel-Malek Benlahssania.

According to our colleagues, the latter immediately filed a complaint against X.

The inscription was then quickly covered with white paint by the Marseille town hall services.

“These tags are in the dustbin of History, where they belong

,” he declared to BFM Marseille Provence.

“It’s unfortunate since we ourselves are included in the long list of mosques that have been tagged and insulted

,” he added.

“Racism has no place in our city”

On X, many political figures reacted to the discovery of the tag.

For the president of the Aix-Marseille-Provence metropolis, Martine Vassal,
