Not moving from here: 78.4% of high-tech workers do not intend to leave the country - compared to 56.8% who stated the same last June at the height of protests against the legal reform - according to a survey by Hitechzone, the consumer club that serves 370,000 employees of the high-tech industry in Israel.

The survey was conducted among 1,700 respondents from all industries.

In a similar survey conducted in June, 22.1% of respondents answered that they were seriously planning to leave.

In contrast, in January of this year, this rate dropped to only 3.9%.

40.3% of the respondents answered that their degree of pride in being part of the country and Israeli high-tech has increased since the war, 14.9% answered that it was slightly damaged, and for 40.4% there is no change.

The survey also shows that 83.9% have not changed their views on the legal reform and 66% of the high-tech workers are pessimistic about the future of the country.

Noam Bosidan, CEO and co-founder of Hitechzone, said in response to the data that "the State of Israel experienced two extremely complex periods in one year.

The data from our two surveys show how much we have all changed between these two times, and above all - how central and significant the role of the high-tech community has become in the life of the country, also in the social aspect and not only in the economic aspect.

"We always talk about high-tech as a major economic engine of the country, and with such power comes a considerable responsibility. We see how the high-tech people were among the first to wave the protest flags, in the name of their role in society, and also to extend a supporting hand, in the name of exactly that role.

"All of us are still far from digesting the disasters that the era brought with it. But at the same time, we see the renewed connections to the country, to each other and to our common essence here.

"You can also learn about the cohesion, since in the two repeated polls a unified, cohesive and clear mainstream voice emerges from the crowd. We are not happy about the circumstances, but we are very happy that the high-tech community is united again in its pride for the country and in the pride of being part of a group that has turned the local industry into one that the eyes of the whole world are on ".
