Lee Child started his Jack Reacher series over 25 years ago.
28 titles have now been published, almost a continuation every year, which is supplemented by numerous short stories and accompanying books.
Some of the titles were made into films with Tom Cruise in the lead role.
“Reacher” launched successfully as a series on Amazon Prime.
Another novel has been announced for October, which the bestselling author is writing together with his brother.
A third season of the series is also planned.

With the thrillers about the former military policeman Reacher, Lee Child has created a stable monument in 28 titles.
The 29th volume will be published in October and the third season is now in the works.
The author doesn't seem to be running out of ideas for further books.
But he announced to
The Bookseller
that he would no longer write a new “Reacher” novel every year, but would hand the work over to his brother.
I love my readers and know they will want many, many more Reacher stories in the future.
I'd like to promise it, but realistically I'm getting too old to keep up the rhythm.
Maybe there are a few more, but not an infinite number.

The advantage of the book series is that each volume deals with one case conclusively.
This means you don't have to read volume after volume to get deep enough into the series plot.
In the twenty-ninth volume, the protagonist wakes up again, handcuffed to a bed.
He has no idea where he is or how he ended up there.
As the pain of his wounded arm catches up with him, memories come to mind of getting into a vehicle and getting into a catastrophic accident.
His captors reveal that they believe him to be the deceased driver's accomplice.
Her plan to get Reacher to talk turns out to be a fatal mistake...

According to an Instagram post by the main actor, the third season is an adaptation of the seventh novel “The Persuader”.
The series is produced by Lee Child, Nick Santora, Scott Sullivan, Don Granger, Christopher McQuarrie, David Ellison, Dana Goldberg and Marcy Ross.
The series creator is Nick Santora.
There is a review of the second season at serienjunkies.de.
Six years ago, Jack Reacher, then a top US military police detective, resigned from his job.
He went into hiding - unreachable, untraceable.
But this one time the restless loner comes out of cover voluntarily.
By pure chance, he met a man he had thought was dead for ten years.
The scars on his forehead remind Reacher of his most terrible experience, and he knows that the Janus Man still poses a deadly threat...
