Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen – The next wave of farmers’ protests is coming.
On Wednesday, January 31st, representatives of the Bavarian farmers announced that they would block motorway access roads “throughout Bavaria”.
Demonstrations in the Munich district have already been confirmed.
The Erding district is also said to be affected - as is the Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen district.
Peter Fichtner, district chairman of the Bavarian Farmers' Association in Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen (BBV), explains the circumstances.
Next wave of farmer protests tomorrow: extreme disruption to rush hour traffic “all over Bavaria”.
“We have already received the big 'okay' from the ministry,” explains Fichtner to our newspaper.
“Across Bavaria,” farmers are supposed to block highway entrances with their tractors.
In the Munich district this affects “all 16 motorway entrances”.
Ultimately, the approvals are all “case-by-case decisions”.
Each district office issues its own permit.

The fate of the Munich district has already been determined.
Farmers want to block “all 16 motorway entrances” – and the district office and police are also allowed to do so.
The protest has already been approved, reports Fichtner.
A press release from the Munich district limits the demonstration to the period between approximately 8:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.
“We want to let the first rush-hour traffic through,” said Fichtner.
According to the district chairman, permission is still pending in Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen.
Fichtner has not yet received approval from either the district office or the police.
At the request of our newspaper, the district authority confirmed the decision received.
It is not yet clear how long it will take for local farmers to get the okay for the demonstrations.
