A man was fatally injured by his own dog in Geesthacht.
The same dog had previously seriously injured his partner.
After the attack he was shot.
Geesthacht - In a tragic incident in Geesthacht, Schleswig-Holstein, a 35-year-old man was seriously injured by his own dog, an American Bully XL, and has now died in hospital.
The dramatic incident occurred in a forest near Hamburg, where the man was found covered in blood by a walker.
Just a few weeks ago there was another serious dog attack in Lauenburg.
However, the dog defended his master from an ax attack.

The dog, which was sitting next to the man lying on the ground and apparently guarding him, aggressively attacked the paramedics who were called.
This forced the police to shoot the animal so they could provide medical aid to the victim.
The man had massive bite wounds on both arms and was taken to the hospital by rescue helicopter, where he later succumbed to his injuries, reports

The attack occurred after she slipped on black ice while out for a walk.
She was also seriously injured and remains in hospital.

In response to the first attack, the public order office of the city of Geesthacht ordered that the dog be kept on a leash and muzzle, even indoors.
Despite these measures, the tragic incident occurred.
The dog belongs to the American Bully XL breed, a breed created by crossing terriers and bulldogs.
