Starnberg - With a lot of luck, a 28-year-old driver was able to avoid a head-on collision with potentially serious injuries on the Starnberg western bypass yesterday, Monday evening.
However, an accident still occurred.
The woman from the Weilheim district drove her Skoda Fabia from Mamhofen towards the B2 around 6:30 p.m.
Shortly before the green bridge near Hadorf, a car came towards her in her lane and wanted to overtake another vehicle.
Due to the driver's rapid emergency braking, the oncoming driver was able to get back into his lane.
However, the 43-year-old from Starnberg, who was driving behind the woman from Weilheim, was unable to stop in time.
He drove his BMW into the back of the Skoda.
The person responsible, however, continued driving.
Nobody was harmed during the accident.
The officers deployed estimate the damage at 15,000 euros.
The vehicles had to be towed away.
Witnesses who can provide information about the fugitive (especially the driver of the overtaken vehicle) are asked to contact the Starnberg police station.
