Of course, the Schockerberg cannot be missed in 2024, the date for the politician derblecken of the Schongau CSU local branch has been set.

You are still planning carefully with only two evenings, but they should be tough.

However, one of the main characters is not there this year.

Schongau - The CSU local association with its Schockerberg has been proving for years that political derbleaching works wonderfully on a supra-regional level, just like sweeping on one's own front door.

The popular event is a fixture in the calendars of many Schongau residents - this year the Jakob-Pfeiffer-Haus is booked for Friday and Saturday, March 15th and 16th.

“We are in preparation, we have already met for the first rehearsal of the Singspiel,” reports CSU boss Oliver Kellermann when asked by the Schongauer Nachrichten.

After all, the troupe is preparing for the 24th Schockerberg this year, and the pillars of the political-comic evening are in place.

So of course there is another Lenten sermon.

“Brother Blatero” is there again and certainly doesn’t mince his words

At first Kellermann doesn't really want to speak up, but he is easily persuaded to reveal the name.

“Brother Blatero” was not only well received last year, the former Schongau deputy mayor Tobias Kalbitzer is already working hard on a new script.

“He's definitely making an all-round attack, but we'll be surprised by what comes out of it,” said Kellermann.

Federal politicians are being made fun of, as are local politicians.

“We don't make any suggestions or regulations, he's completely free, he can also hit us in the pan,” says Kellermann.

Kalbitzer, as we know him, certainly won't have to be told that twice.

Singspiel directed by Luitpold Braun Jr., “without him it wouldn’t work at all”

The team of nine for the Singspiel is also there - again under the direction of Luitpold Braun junior.

“The Singspiel wouldn’t work without him,” emphasizes Kellermann, who is happy that Braun has been back on board since last year, albeit to a somewhat reduced extent.

The Eberle family with dad Michael and daughters Anna and Lena are already rehearsing alongside Kellermann, as are Michael Reith, Daniel Blum, Max Bertl and Thomas Hennecke.

They have all embodied political greats and bigwigs, whether Alexander Dobrindt, Horst Seehofer or Markus Söder, district administrator Andrea Jochner-Weiß, Angela Merkel or “Moneypenny Ilse Aigner”.

The first relaxed reading test took place without costumes, as Kellermann explains.

“We were all in civilian clothes.

But the music is already there – Luitpold Braun does it all.”

City band and fire brigade band will be there again

Marianne Porsche-Rohrer – who worked as a conductor on the Fuchstalbahn last year – also wants to come up with something new, Kellermann continues.

The Schongau town band is there as well as the Hohenfurcher fire brigade band.

However, there is also bad news for this year: A long-time main actor has just canceled because he has too much on his plate: Markus Wühr wants to give his “Luigi from Alto Adige” a break this year.

“It's bittersweet, of course, but unfortunately we couldn't get him to say 'yes', which is a shame,” Kellermann regrets.

The busy farmer will hardly miss the 25th anniversary next year, is the Schongauer Nachrichten tip.

Advance ticket sales start in mid-February

Advance ticket sales from mid-February have not yet been finalized, but like previous years, they will probably also be via ticket reservation.

Whoever will be taking charge of this this year will be announced shortly, said Kellermann.

Remaining tickets will be available shortly before the event.

But the day of the beer tasting is already certain: Altenstadt brewer Markus Langer has long since had his barrels in the fridge, the Schockerbock tasting for the members of the Schongau CSU local association is planned for February 2nd in the Bauforum at the Europakreisel.
