Bad Tölz – The second demonstration against the right, which Mario Hentrich from Bad Tölz once again called for, was no longer quite as popular as the premiere a week ago.

According to the police, the 1,000 participants gathered for the demonstration at the Tölzer Winzerer Monument at around 2 p.m.

Again, there were people of all ages, from toddlers to seniors.

Those who are here do not experience diversity as a threat, but rather as an enrichment, said Hentrich at the beginning.

The motto “Never again is now” is not an empty promise: “We have learned from history.

We know where right-wing radical action leads.” We will not allow ourselves to be intimidated, said Tölzer, who then sat at the head of the procession.

Demonstration without incident

The demonstration march under the motto “Together against the right” then moved again from the place of meeting via Hindenburgstrasse, Nockherstrasse and Säggasse down to the Isar Bridge and Amortplatz, from there towards the roundabout back to Marktstrasse.

This time the process was well organized, there were a number of stewards on hand and the police accompanied the procession, which again went off without incident.

A number of locals also followed the demonstration along the route.

It is striking that this time there were significantly more signs and banners, as was the new participation of Protestant youth, who, according to a banner carried, are committed to diversity and tolerance.

The very nice weather may also have had an impact on the number of participants, especially since a number of demonstrators said they had gone to an event in Munich.

Overall, many citizens were grateful that they were able to go to a demonstration against right-wing tendencies in the country on Sunday afternoon without having to travel long distances.

“Dad, what’s a demonstration?”

This gave parents the opportunity to take children with them too.

A young boy holding his father's hand wanted to know exactly when he asked: "Dad, what is a demonstration?" The young man can be helped: According to Wikipedia, a demonstration or demo is a gathering of several people in public Purposes of collective expression of opinion.
