On Saturday morning, the U15 men competed in the ranking tournament in Palling.

Up to 40 kilograms, Sebastian Marghescu was able to achieve two victories against his opponents from Ingolstadt and Achental in his preliminary round pool after an opening defeat against the later first-placed team.

In the semifinals he unfortunately lost to his opponent from Moosburg.

Nevertheless, he was able to celebrate third place in the strong weight class and thus his first medal.

His teammate Matija Kovacs competed in the weight class up to 55 kilograms in a pool of 6 (everyone against everyone).

He lost two fights against experienced opponents, but was also able to achieve three victories after consistent throws.

He was also rewarded with third place and was also happy about his first medal.

In the afternoon, the brothers Philipp (-90kg) and Paul Ampletzer (-100kg) took part in the men's competition.

In the class up to 90kg everyone fought against everyone in a pool of 6 people.

Here Philipp Ampletzer only had to admit defeat to A. Neureuther from Peiting after a thrilling fight with extra time and was able to take home “silver”.

His brother Paul had no opponents in his weight class and thus immediately became Upper Bavarian champion.

There were two friendly fights against an opponent from the over 100kg class.

Despite good approaches, these were lost.

On Sunday the U18 fought in Fürstenfeldbruck.

In the women's race, Alva Birghan was unable to prevail and was eliminated early, as was Leo Quendt, who was able to win.

In the lightweight division, Lucas Ditterich was able to prevail against the other two opponents in the pool of three and win the Upper Bavarian championship title.
