Songs agreed by the fraternity.
Instruments created thanks to the use of electrodes and a PC that give life to joyful notes, sometimes discordant but linked by the score of the desire to be together.
It's called Fratellitutti band, the group born in the homonymous center of Melpignano, in the province of Lecce, and made up of musicians who are both budding and in love with life: there are seven of them, they are between 24 and 63 years old, and each of them has a disability that makes them unique.
They have no doubts about their future.
"We dream of Sanremo and the Ariston stage", explains Lorenzo Notaro, one of the volunteers who, together with other educators and volunteers, takes care of the kids.
The band was born thanks to the stubbornness and commitment of those who believe in them.
"They are kids who would otherwise stay at home. Here instead they feel they belong to a larger community, they feel accepted and loved", explains Don Maurizio Tarantino, director of the diocesan Caritas of Otranto.
The rehearsed and rehearsed songs are now inspired by Celtic music.
"We are on an imaginary journey and we have recently landed in the United Kingdom: hence, Celtic music", adds Loredana, explaining that music therapy helps communication with those who would be difficult to reach with words.
In recent weeks the tests have followed one another with dedication.
"They are kids who have dreams like everyone else: from Sanremo to an audience with Pope Francis. And I hope they can come true", concludes Lorenzo.
