Against the background of the anemones that will cover the north of the Negev, in the Gaza Envelope, the events of Darom Adom will be marked this year as "blooming again" with events adapted to the security situation.
Among other things, the traditional anemone race will be held in Gerar-Shersheret Park to mark the Shabbat of the abducted and in cooperation with the headquarters for the return of the abducted and missing.
The traditional KKL-Junk march will be held this year in memory of Ofir Liebstein, head of the Shaar HaNegev council who was killed on the morning of October 7th when he went out to protect the residents of the area.

There will also be guided tours of many tourist sites in the Negev region.
Those spending time will also be able to meet the people of the Northern Negev and purchase local produce at the "South Adom Market" or purchase boxes of anemone tubers for planting as a sign of solidarity with the residents of the Otaf.
Culinary workshops, breweries, wineries, chef meals, restaurants, cafes and dining rooms in kibbutzim will also be operated throughout the period.
The IDF spokesman and the police spokeswoman announced that the activity was approved in accordance with the assessment of the security situation, along with adjustments made due to the war. Among the adjustments were shifting the focus of events to the eastern part of the Western Negev sector, a travel ban on road 4 from the Yad Mordechai intersection to the Erez crossing, as well as on road 232 from the intersection The Negev Gate to Kerem Shalom during the weekends in which the event takes place. The area will be reinforced by IDF forces and the Israel Police.

The western part of the envelope is still defined as a closed military area due to the war.
