After the storm yesterday (Monday), this morning the Knesset committee resumed the discussion on the impeachment of MK Ofer Kasif (Hadash).
The impeachment process started after Shezif signed a petition supporting the lawsuit against Israel in The Hague, and in its petition 86 Knesset members signed in favor of his impeachment.
The representative of the speaker Gali Beharev Miara opposed the impeachment procedure.
The representative of the Legal Adviser to the Government, Adv. Avital Sompolinski: "The strength of the mind and the indignation at the act of a member of the Knesset are not a measure to establish grounds for impeachment of a sitting member of the Knesset.
Distaste for the actions and condemnation separately, and the formation of a legal ground for impeaching a sitting member of Knesset - separately."
