Bad Tölz – Outside of bird breeding times in winter, tree care work is carried out in many places.

Just like on Wednesday in Bad Tölz.

Traffic disruptions are to be expected.

As the city announces, tree care work will be carried out on Angerstrasse and on the transition to Badstrasse on Wednesday, January 31st, between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.

There will be a complete closure here because a mobile crane is needed for the work, reports press spokeswoman Franziska Gschwandtner.

Traffic is being rerouted.

Bus routes 379 and 389V will be canceled without replacement

Bus traffic is also affected by the work in this area: Buses 379 and 379V cannot serve the “Lindenhof” stop in Bad Tölz between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. in the direction of the city center and will be canceled without replacement.

All passengers are asked to use the surrounding stops “Einbach”, “Hoheneck” or “ZOB-Isarkai”.

The buses in the opposite direction run as scheduled.

Furthermore: If the weather permits, a major tree care measure will be on the program from Monday, February 5th, in the forest above Papa's Kesselhaus and the Südschule.

“Since this area is a natural monument, the necessary measures were coordinated closely by the city with the Lower Nature Conservation Authority,” continued Gschwandtner.

“Ash trees affected by ash shoot dieback and other dead trees are removed.”

If a trunk is still stable, it will remain as a torso, emphasizes Gschwandtner.

“Woodpeckers and other birds can create new nesting sites here.

Wherever possible, the workers also leave dead wood in place, thereby providing valuable habitat for numerous birds and insects.

Old trees with dead crown wood are thinned out.”
